Accounts
The Council has the power to raise money each
year from the Council Tax payers of Marcham (the precept). This is collected by
the Vale of White Horse District Council on behalf of the Parish, as a part of
the total Council Tax charge which pays for services at County, District and
Parish level.
The financial year for the Parish Council runs from 1st
April to 31st March. We normally set the budget at our meeting in January of
each year.
The spending by the Council is audited, both by an Internal
Auditor (who is independent of the Council) and by an External Auditor who is
appointed by the Government.
The following links give details of the budget and grants made for the current year, and the audited accounts for previous years.
