Marcham Parish Council is currently starting out on the process of developing a Neighbourhood Plan for the village.
A Neighbourhood Plan is a document that sets out the planning policies for an area, as well as our vision for the local community; encompassing things such as the environment, businesses, transport and connectivity. Neighbourhood planning enables communities to play a much stronger role in shaping the areas in which they live and also in new development proposals.
We’re currently in the process of engaging with stakeholders around the village, in order to get their initial thoughts on what they would benefit from as part of the plan.
The next stage after that is to start drafting a questionnaire for residents to gather their input, and we anticipate this will go live in the coming months.
Whilst the Neighbourhood Plan is being led by a Steering Group on behalf of the Parish Council, we would very much welcome input and expertise from residents from across the Parish. If you are interested in joining the Neighbourhood Plan team, please contact clerk@marchamparishcouncil.gov.uk
More information will be coming soon.
